A New Veteran®

 Founded in 2022

Real Talk. Real Support. Redefining What It Means to Be a Veteran.

You served. You sacrificed. And now? You’re navigating a civilian system that often feels cold, confusing, and impossible to trust. That’s where we come in—not to “rescue” you, but to walk with you. To remind you that you’re not alone. To help you reconnect to your power. And to build strategies that actually make sense for your life.

Why We Exist

Too many veterans are told:

  • “You don’t qualify.”

  • “It’s not that bad.”

  • “Just suck it up.”

We exist to say: No more.

At A New Veteran®, we believe healing starts with being seen—and truth is the first step. We provide a space where you can take the mask off, speak freely, and begin to define your own post-service path.

Veteran. Advocate. Voice for the Unheard.

Andrew Davenport

“I didn’t know how to advocate for myself. Now I help others find their voice.”

Founder, Executive Director, and U.S. Army Combat Veteran Andrew Davenport created A New Veteran® after experiencing firsthand how overwhelming and isolating the VA system can be. Like many, he returned from service confused and unsure where to turn—realizing the system wasn’t built to listen, only to process.

He saw that many veterans downplay their service and avoid asking for help because of stigma and silence. That silence keeps too many stuck.

Now, with more than 20 years of experience building relationships across communities, Andrew works directly with veterans—helping them uncover their worth, tell their stories with confidence, and take back control of their future.

With Andrew leading the way, A New Veteran™ is restoring dignity, truth, and hope—one conversation at a time.

I never thought I was eligible for benefits. I assumed a VA disabled person was missing a limb, or had obvious combat wounds.  But I learned that I'm just as much a veteran as anyone else is.  I've struggled with mental health issues for years and I've always talked about how they were a byproduct of my service.  But I also always thought it was just one of those things  you deal with and never knew there was a path to get some help and benefits.  I now feel empowered.

What We Believe

Veterans come in all shapes, sizes, and stories.

There’s no “one way” to serve—and no “right way” to be a veteran.

Our Mission - To ensure every veteran has access to the truth of their benefits, the power to advocate for themselves, and a community that walks with them—not ahead of them.

Who We Serve

  • Veterans of all branches, ranks, backgrounds, and eras

  • Spouses and families navigating the benefit journey

  • Civilian allies ready to understand and support

  • Donors and businesses who believe in people, not red tape

What Makes Us Different

  • We listen first and guide second.

  • We bring real-life experience, not just paperwork.

  • We work alongside veterans—not on their behalf.

  • We foster community, not just compliance.

  • We build legacy through integrity, connection, and truth.
